ProFlowers takes extra care in creating wedding
flowers for your special day. Your flowers will arrive a few days before
your wedding to ensure that they are perfect for your event. For the
most beautiful wedding flowers, we recommend the following: |
Make Sure Someone will be Home for Delivery
Have your flowers sent to a location where someone will be available to accept the shipment when it arrives and bring them inside immediately. |
Avoid Extreme Temperatures
Bring your flowers inside upon arrival. Maintain flowers between 35F and 70F degrees. The colder the storage space, the fresher your arrangements will be. Do not freeze. Avoid direct sunlight and drafts. |

Place Bouquets in Water
For the freshest flowers, you'll want to put your bouquets in water as soon as possible (in containers with about 3-4 inches of water). This may take a bit of advanced planning. Make sure you have enough vases/containers to store your centerpieces, bridal bouquets and bridesmaid's bouquets. Fill vases with water and sprinkle flower food (provided) into each vase and stir to mix. Place bouquets in vases (large glasses will also work). Make sure the water doesn't reach the ribbons and decorations. Add water daily as needed. |
Put Boutonnières & Corsages in the Refrigerator
Upon arrival, remove the boutonnières and corsages from the box. Place them in a glass with water with a small amount of flower food (provided) and put them in your refrigerator. Make sure your refrigerator is not set below 35F degrees or the flowers will freeze. Place items away from fruits and vegetables which can release gasses that age your flowers (keep fruits and vegetables in fruit/vegetable drawers or closed containers). |
Extra Flowers
You may find loose flowers in your box. This is because we add extra flowers to your bouquets in case a stem breaks during shipment. We also add extra boutonnières and corsages. Any loose flowers or extra items are perfect to use as petals.
If your delivery contains hydrangea that looks like it needs refreshing; please submerge the flower head in cool water for about a minute or spray/mist water onto the heads. Then keep the stems in vases of water and they should perk back up within the hour. |

Choosing a Centerpiece Vase
You will need to purchase vases for your centerpieces. When choosing a vase, make sure the vase is between 7" and 10" tall (shorter if you plan to cut down the stems, taller if you would like to fill the bottom with marbles or stones).
The neck of the bouquet will be between 2" and 3" across, so make sure your vase opening is slightly larger, we recommend about 3". A vase that is wider at the bottom and tapers towards the top (bell-shaped) or egg shaped is a very nice look.
